A Facilitated Creative Process for Strategic Planning
Strategic planning processes are inherently creative. We evaluate, envision, plan, dream and begin to implement a future state where our goals are advanced. This involves creative thinking across a range of stages and activities.
Creative Problem Solving is ideally suited to strategic planning. The three major phases of CPS involve clarifying the situation, generating ideas in response, and moving these ideas into implementation.
In group settings with multiple stakeholder interests, it’s easy to muddy the difference between clarifying, ideating and implementing. CPS provides creative process guardrails and engaging tools for moving the strategic planning process forward in a coherent and effective manner.
